Corded vs Cordless Power Tools

Corded vs Cordless Power Tools

There has always been an ongoing debate about corded vs cordless power tools on which is better? It all boils down to convenience vs power and stamina but having said that, there are also other factors that have to be taken into consideration too.

A cordless power tool is convenient when there are no power outlets nearby but then again, does it hold enough power on its’ own to accomplish the task on hand. Although new design and improvements have made some cordless power tool to be almost as powerful as their corded counterpart, not all of them can be made that way and there are just some tasks that will require that little more.

Even though the corded power tools have their pros, they have their cons too. There are times when the corded power tool runs a risk of getting their power cord ripped off the socket if the person working with it forgot all about it and also others tripping over wires if not careful.

But then again, it’s inevitable that they are a necessity such as thick boards have to be sawn through or a large hole has to be drilled using a hole cutter.

However, having said that, if you are working on an unfinished house or project where electrical power is still not available, then you don’t have too much choice.
